This policy explains what we collect on division26cpa.com, why, who we share it with, and how you can opt out.
Two different sets of rules apply to us, so this policy is split accordingly:
We never mix the two. Client tax and financial data is never used for advertising, never loaded into an ad platform, and never passed to the tracking tools described below.
When you fill out a form, book a call, download a resource, or use one of our calculators:
This site uses the following. Each one is a third party with its own privacy policy.
Google Analytics 4 — measures traffic and page performance. Receives your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, and a random visitor ID. Analytics.
Google Ads — measures ad conversions and builds remarketing audiences. Receives the above plus which ad or search term brought you here. Advertising.
Meta Pixel — measures Facebook and Instagram ad conversions and builds audiences. Receives your IP address, browser, pages viewed, and — if you are logged in to Facebook — an identifier Meta can link to your account. Advertising.
Apollo.io Website Visitor Tracking — looks up your IP address to identify the company you are browsing from, so we know which contractors are researching us. Receives your IP address, pages viewed, and the company identified from that IP. Advertising and sales.
Elfsight — renders review and content widgets on the page. Receives your IP address and browser. Functional.
Calendly — powers the booking calendar. Receives the name, email, and scheduling details you enter. Functional.
Webflow — hosts this website. Receives standard server logs. Necessary.
Cloudflare Workers — runs the BidGuard estimate tool. Receives the figures you enter into the tool. Necessary.
Apollo, specifically: this tool is designed to identify the business behind an IP address, not you personally. But an IP address is still personal information under several state laws, so we disclose it plainly here. If you would rather not be identified, use the opt-out below.
On this site: click Your Privacy Choices in the footer of any page. Turning tracking off stops Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, and Apollo for that browser and deletes the cookies they set.
Automatic signals: we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and browser Do Not Track signals. If your browser sends either one, advertising and analytics tracking is off by default and you do not need to do anything.
By location: visitors from Europe, the UK, and the US Pacific timezone get no analytics or advertising tracking at all until they actively choose Accept. Everyone else is tracked by default and can opt out at any time using the link above.
At the source: you can also opt out directly at Google Ads Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, and Apollo's privacy page.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We do share it in the ways described below. Some state privacy laws define sale and sharing broadly enough to cover advertising activity, so to be clear rather than clever:
We do not share, and have never shared, client tax or financial information with any advertising platform.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising. North Carolina and South Carolina do not currently have comprehensive privacy laws, but we will honor these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of state.
To make a request, email support@division26cpa.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK: you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability under the GDPR, and the right to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to your supervisory authority. Note that we market to and serve clients in North and South Carolina only.
This site is for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@division26cpa.com and we will delete it.
As a CPA firm we are a financial institution under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. This section is our privacy notice for client information.
What we collect: information from your tax organizers, returns, financial statements, payroll records, bank and accounting system data, and anything you or your representatives give us.
What we disclose: we do not disclose nonpublic personal information about current or former clients to anyone, except as permitted or required by law — for example, to a subcontractor or software provider working on your engagement under a confidentiality obligation, in response to a valid subpoena or peer review, or with your written consent.
Tax return information specifically: under Internal Revenue Code § 7216, we may not use or disclose your tax return information for any purpose other than preparing your return without your prior written consent. We do not use tax return information for marketing. It is never given to an advertising platform.
How we protect it: we maintain a written information security program as required by the FTC Safeguards Rule, including access controls, multi-factor authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, vendor oversight, staff training, and an incident response plan.
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or a notice on the homepage.
